About *****~~~**

JULES CUNDARI (b. 1996, Ontario, Canada) is an artist and Restoration Technician based in Victoria, BC, on the ancestral territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt Nations).

Her practice engages ecology and habitat restoration to examine how art can support more accountable relationships between human and non-human kin. Drawing from site-specific conservation work, her practice is informed by place-based memory and material exploration. She creates abstracted ecological forms using paint, graphite, synthetic and organic materials, and poetry, attending to the layered histories - ecological, cultural, and personal - embedded within landscapes.
