JULES CUNDARI (b. 1996, Ontario, Canada) is an artist, regenerative farmer and seed sovereignty assistant based in Victoria, BC, Canada. Her practice investigates curiosities of ethnobotany, plant identification and ecological restoration, focusing on how art can deepen an understanding of human and non-human relations. Site-specific research influences the materiality of her work, often pulling from place-based memory, creating abstracted landscapes through paint, graphite, synthetic and organic materials and poetry. Jules is a member of MULCH, an arts collective that seeks to explore art through collaborative and land based practices, allowing for fragmented ideas to be a part of a continuous cycle of decay and rebirth.
